More than 230 participants, facilitators and coaches gathered in Miami for the 2017 Leadership Development Week (LDW) East, featuring five programs of The ELC’s Institute for Leadership Development & Research. Held at the Mandarin Oriental Miami on August 14-18, LDW East brought black mid-level managers and other high-potential black executives together for programs, including Strengthening the Pipeline, Bright Futures, Strategic Pathways, Navigating the Corporate Landscape, and Leading Innovation. Participants represented a wide variety of industries, organizations, functional areas, and geographical locations. Participants in LDW East heard from Marc Washington, the former President & COO of Beachbody, during a joint program dinner.
Marc Washington, former President & COO of Beachbody, was the keynote speaker during a welcome dinner on Wednesday night for all program participants. The Strengthening the Pipeline – Wealth Management Luncheon featuring Cynthia H. Bowman of Bank of America was also highly regarded by attendees. On Thursday night, participants boarded the Grand Floridian for a dinner boat cruise around Biscayne Bay to celebrate their graduation from the LDW program.
