The Executive Leadership Council (ELC) is committed to advancing the plight of the Black community. Grounded in the principle of Sankofa –always face forward, but never forget from whence we’ve come.

Established in 1986, The ELC has worked to build an inclusive business leadership pipeline. We empower Black corporate leaders to make significant and impactful contributions in the global marketplaces and their communities.

Powerful outcomes lend itself to a healthier and more vibrant eco-system where people can realize their potential.

Scholarships

The ELC proudly provides scholarship support to talented undergraduate and graduate college students. The ELC, along with our corporate partners, have committed more than $5M since 1995. Scholarship recipients attend over 40 top universities across the country and are celebrated at the annual Recognition Gala.

The Black Male Initiative

In 2020, The ELC piloted The Black Male Initiative (ELC BMI) (hyperlink) in collaboration with the business schools of Delaware State University, Howard University and North Carolina A&T State University. ELC BMI was created to address the academic achievement gap facing young Black men with respect to college matriculation and persistence.
