Leadership Development Weeks

Leadership Development Weeks (LDW) is a premier leadership development experience for Black professionals at any career level.

The Executive Leadership Council’s (ELC) Leadership
Development Week (LDW) offers Black professionals the
opportunity to develop themselves while leaving an indelible
mark on corporate America in the process. We accomplish this
via an experience that is curated for us and by us. LDW courses
hold an intentional, developmental and “brave space” for Black
professionals from across the country to accelerate their career
development while also rejuvenating themselves among likeminded colleagues.

LDW consists of six (6) different courses running in parallel. With courses designed for every level of Black corporate professional, LDW provides professional development for all Black corporate professionals regardless of their location along the corporate talent pipeline.

Bright Futures

High-performing individual contributors, first-time
people leaders, and early-in-career leaders should start their LDW journey with Bright Futures. Participants develop the self-awareness, vision and goal clarity, and strategic orientation necessary to effectively propel their careers.

Leading Innovation

Mid-level leaders, business unit leaders, experienced people leaders, project leaders, and program leaders should extend their LDW journey with Leading Innovation. Participants optimize their ability to drive process improvements and lead successful change initiatives.

Navigating the Corporate Landscape

People leaders, project leaders, and program leaders should continue their LDW journey with Navigating the Corporate Landscape. Participants expand their emotional intelligence, strategic relationship building abilities, and industry awareness in order to negotiate career challenges and opportunities.

Strategic Pathways for Women

Female Mid-level leaders, business unit leaders, experienced people leaders, project leaders, and program leaders should extend their LDW journey with Strategic Pathways for Women. While
developing a cross-corporate cohort of support, participants will learn strategies and tactics designed to address the
challenges and opportunities faced by Black women operating in corporate spaces.

Strengthening The Pipeline 1

Experienced people leaders, project leaders, and program leaders should advance their LDW journey with Strengthening the Pipeline 1. Participants will optimize their authentic performance, image, and communication skills.

Strengthening The Pipeline 2

Senior-level business unit leaders, people leaders, project leaders, program leaders, and executives should culminate their LDW journey with Strengthening the Pipeline 2. Participants will amplify
their influence on an enterprise-level in order to leave an impactful and positive legacy.

Become a Member

To be extended an application for membership, a candidate must receive a nomination for membership consideration from an ELC member in good standing and meet one of the preliminary membership criteria.
