The Senior Multicultural Leaders Conference provides a forum for subject matter experts to share their insights and deliver content relevant to industry leaders, unique multicultural network, facilitates cross-cultural business ideation, generation and execution among speakers, conference partners and attendees and offers opportunities to interact with senior professionals across sectors and source new clients.

Target attendees are senior Black, Asian and Latino Fortune 500 executives (C-Suite & Corporate Officers with revenue/frontline responsibilities), chief investment officers and asset managers from the largest money managers, entertainers, media personalities and cultural influencers, public city/state officials and entrepreneurs and ultra-high net worth individuals.

SMLC Strategic Partners

The Senior Multicultural Leaders Conference was first hosted in 2015 by Morgan Stanley, AARP, Target, and Deloitte in partnership with Catalyst, The Executive Leadership Council, Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility, and Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics. The conference provides perspectives from leaders in the corporate, education, nonprofit and government arenas relevant to leaders executing in a competitive global environment. 

As of 2019, SMLC had 3 Strategic Sponsors (Morgan Stanley, Target, Deloitte) and 4 Partners (Catalyst, HACR, LEAP, ELC). Each Partner (Morgan Stanley, Target, Deloitte) contributed $250k for the last in-person conference held in 2019 prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

SMLC transitioned to a virtual conference in 2020. The conference featured two half-day sessions streamed virtually across the country. 

In 2023, The ELC became the driving organization of SMLC in partnership with Deloitte LLP and Morgan Stanley.

Become a Member

To be extended an application for membership, a candidate must receive a nomination for membership consideration from an ELC member in good standing and meet one of the preliminary membership criteria.
